Dear Mr. Ewald.
I thought it might be appropriate if we wrote you a short letter, with a little story about one of your employees in your Boerne company store, by the name of Brad McDanel.
After my retirement and several years later down the road, my wife, Lou, and I decided to forgo the city life and so in July of 2012, we moved some 45 miles westward, out to Bandera County .. a little north of that city itself and close to Bandera Pass on SH 173 heading in the general direction of Kerrville. In adapting to the new ways of a small time rancher, so to speak without the horses and cows, but instead, choosing the Texas state wildlife program, and a short time later, we ended up buying a SCAG zero-turn through the local SCAG distributor himself, but which was handled by Brad at your Boerne company location for him. Later on in July of this year, we traded the SCAG in with help from Brad, on a new Kubota zero-turn 1211R, and a couple of days ago, just finished mowing most of our 25 acres this past week in accordance with our wildlife program. The Kubota performed ever bit as good as Brad said it would and my wife loves it.
We had initially gone back to see Brad in June because of the type of person that he is .. honest and very product savvy. He initially spent all the time we required while at your company location, and then soon as he got in the Kubota rear discharge we were interested in, he called to invite us back. After our purchase, we hit about a month of dry spell, then rains came to make the grass grow again so we could mow it. I had then called Brad, since there was a difference between the two brand of mowers, and Brad offered to personally come out to answer questions at our place, and then Brad oversaw operation of the Kubota there with my wife at the helm. He was very patient and took his time in going over everything with us.
We were very impressed with Brad’s professional presentation and answering of questions. Brad is an outstanding employee and you are very fortunate to have a man like him at Ewald Kubota.
In closing, I am in my early 80’s and my wife is 11 years behind me, so as no longer being young folks but still very active in life, we really did appreciate the extra effort Brad made to accommodate us. That is a rare trait that you will only find with a few employees of today’s world. You probably have heard this from others, but regardless, we wanted to write to express our appreciation and say that you have an wonderful employee in Brad.

Dear Mr. Ewald,
I am writing you this email to let you know about the outstanding customer service I received. I am the principal of a construction company therefor that means I am in the customer service business also. It seem common practice today to pick up the phone or write an email only when there is a problem or a customer is dissatisfied. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work in reverse when you do a good job or go above and beyond expectations. I recently had a fuel problem with my Kubota tractor and called your Floresville Store to schedule service. Fortunately it was the next day that someone was able to come to my lease in Three Rivers to assess the problem. The gentlemen’s name that was sent out on the call was Zachery Bortel. First impressions are very important and he made a very good first impression on me. He was extremely polite and respectful, always referring to me as Mr. Krueger or Sir. Before he started he took the time to walk me through the diagnostics process that he was about to preform to assess the problem. I had many questions as to what he was doing and why. (Probably getting in his way) However, he never hesitated to explain what he was doing and why, even telling me what and where each hose did and went. After diagnosing the problem as a butterfly in the fuel/water separator housing, he fixed it immediately! After he buttoned everything up on the tractor for the service call, I had a few more questions about maintenance and the mechanics of my tractor. Mr. Bortel was extremely patient with me and answered all the questions I had. His professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service is beyond reproach! I would hope Mr. Bortel is recognized for his exemplary customer service.
